My name is Ashley Bautista, a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work is rooted in storytelling, culture, and identity. As a first-generation Guatemalan American, I draw inspiration from my heritage and lived experiences to create work that bridges personal narrative with broader cultural and social issues.
I see design not only as a visual practice but as a way of connecting people—transforming ideas into meaningful experiences that resonate on emotional and collective levels. My projects often explore themes of identity, feminism, and representation, weaving together digital and physical mediums to create poetic and impactful forms of communication.
I earned a BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in Studio Arts from South Dakota State University. My path has taken me from the Midwest to California, shaping my perspective as both an artist and designer committed to experimentation, growth, and the power of design as a tool for storytelling and social impact.
