Joplin Train Depot (Interdisciplinary Studies)

In 2023, eight students from the School of Design (SoD) collaborated with community members of Joplin, MO to imagine a new and viable purpose for the historic Union Depot in Joplin. We began the project by researching different data for the area. We then traveled to Missouri to speak with the town and Stakeholders about direct information about their town and what they want to see as a community. Once we arrived home, we began creating iterations of different ideas that were mentioned. Full Article Here
